Fresh year, fresh start!
Hello sweet friend!
Wow, it has been a minute since I have connected with you here. Last year was full with family visiting (we live near Yellowstone), and trips to see others. I thoroughly enjoyed many aspects of 2021.
Yet, there were some hard parts too. My spiritual pastor from college passed away unexpectedly from an allergic reaction, I was still dealing with the loss of my father from the Thanksgiving before (so all the firsts), and I took on more responsibility at my local church (which was very good, but new and a learning curve).
All of that to say, I am grateful for fresh starts! This year started with me tackling a messy, disorganized area of my house that frustrated both my husband and I...my pantry. I got rid of 6-7 small kitchen appliances, and 7...yes 7 very heavy, full trash bags of expired food. YIKES!
I needed to see how I can grow as a steward of my things.
Again I say...I'm so grateful for fresh starts!
The pantry is organized and with one less distraction, my mind is filling with creative ways to serve you.
I wanted to pass on a quick resource if you are reading through the Bible this year. The Bible Project has created an intro video to every book of the Bible, and we can watch them for free here. This is NOT a substitute for scripture, but it is a helpful tool to see a bigger picture.
I would love to hear from you on how you are starting your year.
Until next time,
~ Stephanie
